The Mandela Effect is when a large group of people remember something a certain way, but are actually wrong. The original founder of the Mandela effect is Fiona Broome. Fiona tweeted multiple times about different instances where she had falsely remembered something. She came up with the “Mandela Effect” when her and a large group of people had a predicament where they believed that Nelson Mandela had died during the 1980’s while he was in prison, but in actuality Mandela was alive.
The Mandela Effect launched on August 23rd when a blogger blogged about the Berenstein Bears and a cluster of people falsely remembered from their childhood that it was spelled “Berenstain Bears.” The “Mandela Effect” actually occurs because the mind remembers bits and pieces of details from an experience.
